Persuasive Essay Format – Basic Guidelines

There are many types of essays a writer may choose from to do his assigned research paper writing. 1. Introduction: It gives a brief overview of the topic and states the main points. It also presents the thesis statement. The main aim of the introduction paragraph is to catch the attention of the reader and keep his interest.

2. Body: It will give the details of the topic and will list the arguments in a logical manner, placing each argument in a separate paragaraph. Each paragraph should deal with a single argument, state the reason of the argument, give an explanation with supporting evidences and a brief summary so as to lead on to the next paragraph and next argument smoothly.

3. Conclusion: This summarizes the entire essay and brushes up the main points once again in different words. It also reinstates the thesis statement. The concluding statement should be strong enough to remove any shadow of doubt, if any, from the reader’s mind.
