He married Anne Hathaway at the age of 18, and much of his life after that was not known till be become famous in 1592 as an actor and playwright in London. A lot of controversy surrounded him, but Shakespeare earned fame in the field of literature. His plays have been staged for years. Movies have been made and people through the years have recognized him to be one of the best exponents of the English language.

He joined The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, a drama troupe in London. That gave him access to the court of King James I who was extremely fond of Shakespeare’s plays and encouraged him. He wrote a total of 38 plays and several poems, which have been translated into almost every language and read in schools and colleges as part of the English language curriculum. When students have to write an Othello essay or a Macbeth essay, they naturally associate Shakespeare with them as almost everybody would have either seen or heard of these classics. An analysis of his works in a Shakespeare essay would suggest that he was well aware of the political situation of his time. He offered people tragedies, comedies, and poetry. All his works were greatly appreciated.

The language used by Shakespeare enhanced his command over the language. Considering that his formal education was restricted to what he learned in school, it is all the more surprising that he wrote all those classics in a manner that appeals to people to this day. Some believe he may have sought help to write some of his classics, as formal education with reference to grammar and usage of the English language was available to a few. The way Shakespeare generated interest in his plays, connoisseurs found reasons to learn more about the man and how he lived his life.

Some of his most popular tragedies include Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Macbeth. He wrote on the lives and times of the monarchy including King Henry VIII. His understanding of their lifestyle, and the way he depicted their rule, made him very popular among the noblemen. When times changed, he resorted to writing poetry and wrote sonnets in the 1590s. To this day, his poems carry meaning with the historical background depicted. Critics have spent decades trying to attribute the success of Shakespeare’s works to several persons. The quality of his work has found more appreciation from those who believe that it was truly written in the 16th century by a man who was a literary genius born way ahead of his time. His works have stood the test of time, and future generations would be more than willing to read through a Shakespeare essay that could introduce them to his works.
